Four Primary Questions

Keep in mind that any of us, excluding Jesus, may be wrong. Being wrong is quite often more illuminating than being right.

Acknowledge that the human author has an agenda (from Latin, meaning "a thing to be done", agendas aren't necessarily bad things, we all have things we want to get done) based on who they know God to be. They are presenting the characters in a certain way because of this agenda. What does the human author want me to learn? How does this fit with what I know to be true because of Christ?


* the "author" may be a person, group or community; additionally, many editors and redactors may have been involved. Each counts in some way
