Do factual contradictions pose a problem? Obviously no more so than for before. I think less, since I allow for (and embrace) human "error."
Seeing scripture as a collection of redeemed texts, not a single perfect text means that errors and contradictions are far less worrysome.
Scripture is useful for teaching and training in righteousness, the errors/contradictions prove useful in teaching since it forces us to think critically about who we know God to be and gives us space to (reverently) disagree with the various authors.
